L2 Printing a layer list from AutoCAD ( LT97)

From your open drawing session type in at the command line,

-la (followed by enter or right mouse click) this suppresses the windows dialogue box

next enter "?" followed by enter again.

Press enter until all the layers have been listed in the text window.

(You may need to use the key F2 keyboard to bring up all the text window)

Highlight all layers including the headings by dragging the mouse across them.

From the edit section (top left corner) select copy. This places a copy on windows clipboard.

Open any word processor or text editor and start a new file.

Press paste (under edit usually), this will give you a listing of your Layer names, State (on/frozen locked), Colour, and Linetype.
